Nîmes cadereaux

The Nîmes cadereaux project has reached a key milestone with the removal of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) from the Uzès cadereau, after almost a kilometre of digging. Led by a 100% FAYAT consortium, the project aims to improve stormwater drainage and protect the town from the risk of flooding. It involves the construction of two tunnels: the cadereau d'Uzès (980 m) and the cadereau de Limites (1,280 m), which will enable water to be evacuated 10 times faster. After this first stage, digging of the Limites tunnel will begin, with completion scheduled for September 2026.
