A key milestone for the Grand Paris Express
On April 15, 2026, Société des Grands Projets officially named “Tiphaine” the second tunnel boring machine for Line 15 West–South of the Grand Paris Express, at the Île-de-Monsieur shaft in Sèvres. It bears the name of its sponsor, the Tunnel Prevention Manager within the IntenCités15 consortium.
Tiphaine” will travel 5.1 km to reach the future Rueil – Suresnes Mont-Valérien station by 2028. Its launch site, strategically located between the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud and the Seine, allows for the removal of excavated material by river, thereby reducing the environmental impact of the project.
