Started in October 2018, the repair work on the old port of Cannes dyke, also known as the Laubeuf dyke, was inaugurated on 9 July 2021. In order to reinforce the old seawall and make the old port safer, Razel-Bec teams built a protective shell using 4,100 accropode blocks and created a sea wall with a promenade. Raised and widened, the Laubeuf dyke, together with the Large dyke, now offer a 400-metre pedestrian promenade, also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
