Entering the civil engineering phase for a major hydraulic structure

This project is part of the Seine–Nord Europe Canal, a key infrastructure aimed at strengthening inland waterway transport and logistics across the region.

Razel-Bec teams are carrying out the earthworks for the lock chamber, a key stage following the installation of diaphragm walls. They have excavated a 180 m long, 17 m wide and 12 m deep trench, ensuring wall support through strutting and preparing them for the civil engineering works.

Razel-Bec is also handling dewatering operations to keep the site free of water. The blinding concrete pour completed by the teams now enables the next stages to begin, with the construction of the base slab, followed by the side walls and related structures.
