Grand Paris Express line 17: Tunnel excavation continues to make steady progress

On Section 3 of the Grand Paris Express Line 17 project, led by the Société des Grands Projets, the tunnel boring machine (TBM) Virginie has reached a major milestone, having excavated more than 5 kilometres of tunnel. After passing beneath the runways of Paris–Charles de Gaulle Airport, the TBM is continuing its advance towards Tremblay-en-France. At the same time, the teams are preparing the reception structure and making progress on the future Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV station, including reinforcement works for the roof slab and the casting of several concrete foundation blocks.
